Tissa Rajaguru, who joined PEaCE in January 2019, is an enthusiastic expert with a long career in the field of child protection. With extensive management and project handling experience from his 20-year stint working in Plan International, his achievements are many and lauded. These also include the pioneering of sustainable child protection models for the Sri Lanka Police, developing a National Guideline for multi-sectoral case management and warehouse establishment for child survivors, and the co-authoring of the guideline for the currently used community-based child protection mechanisms in Sri Lanka. The multifaceted and multicultural work that Tissa undertook in various Sri Lankan regions and communities during his long career have enabled him to make a strong positive impact on excluded and vulnerable children, families and community groups. His expertise as a qualified trainer capable of doing a variety of workshops is also noteworthy. As the Program Manager of PEaCE, Tissa currently manages the projects of the organization - especially the 'End Sexual Exploitation of Children Online' project.
